Trabajo de Investigación sobre Psicología Infantil y Psicorrehabilitación, específicamente con intervención en Discapacidades. El objetivo fundamental es determinar la eficacia de las Artes plásticas en el desarrollo de funciones básicas en niños/as de 5 a 12 años con Retraso Mental Moderado y Grave asociado a Síndrome de Down. Se somete a prueba que las Artes plásticas incrementan el desarrollo de las funciones básicas en niños/as de 5 a 12 años con Retraso Mental Moderado y Grave asociado a Síndrome de Down. El fundamento teórico adoptado está en relación a la Teoría Histórico Cultural de Vygotsky, en especial las Zonas de Desarrollo Proximal, que considera al individuo como resultado de un proceso histórico y social, haciendo énfasis en la distancia entre el desarrollo real y potencial del niño; tratado en tres capítulos. Investigación de tipo diferencial (antes-después) con un enfoque cuantitativo. Se concluye que la aplicación del manual de artes plásticas es beneficiosa e incrementa el desarrollo de funciones básicas en niños/as con Retraso Mental Moderado y Grave asociado a Síndrome de Down. Se recomienda difundir la aplicación del manual de Artes Plásticas y su beneficio para el desarrollo de las funciones básicas en niños/as con Retraso Mental Moderado y Grave asociado a Síndrome de Down.
Research Project on Child Psychology and Psycho-rehabilitation, specifically related with intervention on Disabilities. The objective is to determine the efficiency of the use of Plástic Arts in the development of basic functioning in children between 5-12 years of age with Moderate and Severe Intellectual Disability associated with Down syndrome. It will try to be proved that the use of Plástic Arts increase the development of Basic Functions in children between 5-12 years of age with Moderate and Severe Intellectual Disability associated with Down syndrome. The theoretical fundament adopted, which considere the individual as a result of historical and social processes, emphasizing the distance between actual and potential development of the child; discussed in three chapters. Differential investigation (before-after) from a quantitative perspective. The general conclusión refers to the benefits of the application of the Plástic Arts manual and the improvement on the development of basic functions in children with Moderate and Severe Intellectual Disability associated with Down syndrome. The recommendation is to spread the application of the Plástic Arts manual and its benefit on the development of basic functions in children with Moderate and Severe Intellectual Disability’ associated with Down syndrome.
